What and When

Events are a bit like the weather. Although you can predict, you can’t be certain! So we have tried our best to outline the times that events will happen, but we hope that you understand that this schedule is subject to the vagaries of competitor numbers, as well as Highland time!

Village Parade – everybody is welcome to join in

10.30 – 11.15 Parade through village led by pipe band.
12:00 Parade around arena followed by opening speech from Chieftain.
2.30 approx Pipe band perform in arena
5:00 Games conclude
10:00 Ceilidh dance in village hall.

 

Ceremonial Procession and Games Opening – everybody is welcome to join in

12:00 Procession begins at top corner of the field
12:10 Opening Ceremony
12:30 Games begin

Piping

11:00 – 12:00 Solo pipers register at Secretary’s tent for draw
12:15 Draw for piping competitions
12:30 Start of senior piping competitions
15:00 – 16:00 Junior competitions begin following completion of seniors

Heavy Events

13:00 All competitors must have been registered with event stewards
13:00 – 16:30 Events begin

Track & Field Events

12:30 Senior track events begin
13:30 Children’s races
14:00 Senior track events continue
15:30 Field events begin

Dancing

12:30 – 12:45 Registration with Dancing steward at the platform
13:00 – 16:30 Competitions
