Arisaig Games Dance

After a busy day at the Games field, attention switches to the village hall for the traditional Games Dance.

This year we will have music from the Glenfinnan Ceilidh Band, who are acclaimed as one of the country’s finest ceilidh bands.

West Lochaber has always been fertile ground for attracting and nurturing traditional talent and this grouping of musical giants is testament to that. All based in or near Glenfinnan village, the Ceilidh Band members include stalwarts from the traditional music world who are as at home playing large concert venues as intimate bothy cèilidhs. On fiddle is Iain MacFarlane (Blazin’ Fiddles), Colm O’Rua (Daimh) on banjo, Iain MacMaster on accordion and Ingrid Henderson (Cliar) on piano. Formed for the sheer fun of playing good music together their unique blend of West Coast dance music will get your toes tapping. Their debut CD “Glenfinnan Gathering” and second offering “Shores of Loch Shiel” are available from their online store.

The doors open at 9:30pm, although it generally 10pm before the night gets fully underway.

We do not sell tickets for the Games Dance in advance, with admission at the door.

All ages are welcome. However, under eighteens MUST be accompanied by an adult, and ID may be required to get in.

Admission is on the door at £10
